Blippi
Stevin John, better known online as Blippi, is an American children’s entertainer and educator who was born on May 27, 1988. John’s Blippi character is portrayed with a childish, animated, and inquisitive demeanor; always clothed in his blue and orange beanie cap, blue shirt, orange suspenders, and a bow tie.
The Blippi videos are meant to be instructive and appealing to young children. Since being live on Amazon Video, the videos have received billions of views on YouTube, been viewed in 139 countries, and consistently rank among the top 100 performing self-published shows.
Blippi gets ready for his biggest underwater adventure yet! Blippi learns everything there is to know about scuba diving with the aid of his instructor at Under Watters! Together, they finish underwater quests and even attempt a game of Sink or Float in reverse!

Development

Distribution
Blippi and another Moonbug programming will be available in the UK starting in October 2020 thanks to a partnership between Moonbug Entertainment and Virgin Media. When Moonbug teamed up with POPS Worldwide in March 2021 to add kids’ content to the POPS Kids app, the show was extended throughout Southeast Asia. In January 2022, Netflix purchased the streaming rights to Blippi.
Merchandise and licensing
Blippi and Jazwares LLC inked a master toy deal in 2019 to start selling a range of products based on the Blippi show in spring 2020, including plush toys, educational toys, and toy vehicles.
Early in the year 2020, Jazwares produced “My Buddy Blippi,” a stuffed animal that can mimic 15 of the character’s vocalizations.
Blippi introduced a line of educational toys in January 2021.
Clothing is one type of Blippi product, along with toys, books, and other things.
The Musical Blippi
A live production of Blippi The Musical, created by Round Room Live and Moonbug Entertainment, is slated to tour North America in the summer of 2021. There was some uproar during earlier Blippi tours when Stevin John’s performances were replaced by those of another performer. Live concerts that were originally planned for 2020 have been pushed back because of the COVID-19 epidemic.
